1988-1998 GMC C1500 2WD 3"/6" Coil Lowering Kit

For builders targeting a purposeful lowered OBS C1500 stance, this kit combines the listed front drop hardware with a matched rear lowering solution.

Cab / Rotor Fitment: This is a coil-spring-based lowering package and does not use front drop spindles. It fits 1988-1998 GMC C1500 2WD trucks with Standard or Extended Cab when the listed engine/suspension requirements are met. The 1.00-inch versus 1.25-inch front rotor distinction applies to spindle-based kits, not to this coil-only front lowering method.

Kit Contents:

  • 3-inch front lowering coils (pair)
  • 6-inch rear axle flip kit

Vehicle Fitment:

  • 1988-1998 GMC C1500 2WD

Important Fitment & Installation Notes:

  • 454 SS: do not assume compatibility from rotor thickness alone. The 454 SS uses a different heavy-engine vehicle package; verify the exact front coil application before ordering.
  • Cab fitment: fits Standard and Extended Cab 1988-1998 GMC C1500 2WD applications when the remaining kit-specific fitment requirements are met.
  • Drop shocks are not included. Select shocks with travel appropriate for the final lowered ride height; deeper rear drops generally require shorter shocks.
  • A C-notch is not included with this SKU. Verify axle-to-frame clearance at full compression; a notch may be required or strongly recommended depending on final ride height and use.
  • Inspect driveshaft operating angle after lowering. Trucks with a 2-piece driveshaft may need carrier-bearing geometry correction depending on the final setup.
  • Measure the truck before ordering. Lowering amounts are referenced from stock OEM ride height, so worn springs or previous suspension changes can affect the measured result.
  • Perform a professional alignment after installation and verify wheel/tire clearance, brake-hose routing, bump-stop clearance, shock travel and fastener torque before regular road use.
